The world is much changed since the end of the Green Crisis. The New Age has dawned, and the Planet of Warre is under the management of a bureaucratic super class called the Logos. But there remains a yet higher ultimate authority. From their J-Crafts that cruise the near-earth SkyLife Zone, the Abū-Vötan / Fischer-Baal command the Logos and jealously monitor the development of humanity’s “helix” and “over-helix”.Despite the start of Cerella celebrations, there is unrest in the city. Subject to threat of sentencing to Partial Deletion, it has been decreed that no member of the UnderClass shall eat any food ranked higher than Single-B Minus by AgriCert, the global horticultural agency based in Constantinople, the capitol of the Free World.

Only the OverClass and Logos are permitted to eat the SuperGrades. A violent crackdown against the black markets for certified-equivalent foods is underway in Reclaimed Osaka. An organization of radically defiant permaculturists called “Abundance Now,” comprised of members of the UnderClass, plan to occupy an elite OverClass university—the T.I.D.A.O.—for the purpose of eating a criminally illicit meal of exotic, secretly farmed SuperGrade-equivalent foods. To arrive at their illicit meal they must first survive the dangerous passage through the defenses raised by the Taiheiyō-Kansai Logos clan, who are the bureaucratic OverClass masters of Reclaimed Osaka.

Along the hazardous route, the campaigners struggle against Intrepid Special Services, with their teleautomatics, and the squads of highly modified Tinker Men, with their Tesla munitions.Incongruously among the Abundance Now campaigners we find Logos No. 299, a young prince of the Taiheiyō-Kansai Logos who has fallen in love with Avalon, an orphan and member of the Variable class.“The Cerella Occupation” significantly updates the dystopian “Soylent Green” scenario in ways that are as novel as they are exhilarating.

“True Sky, Lost” is the first volume in a multi-part series. The second volume, subtitled “Five Moments of Perfect Happiness,” is also available now.
